Good base for family in Scottsdale. Booked table at The Grille, its their onsite restaurant. It had nice swimming pool too.
We loved the setting with privacy and the feeling of home in that we could outdoor BBQ, entertain, cook our own meal, eat in a restaurant or outdoor bar & grill. All staff was cordial and accomidating. We regreted having to leave.
The only negative was a reservation issue. We were called on Tuesday morning and asked if we were checking out soon. When I took my reservation confirmation to the desk the issue was immediatly remedied, and we checked out on Wednesday morning as scheduled. This is as close to a negative as I can think of
I chose this place due to location (near shopping, food, Scottsdale, the asu football stadium), and the fact that we got a 2-bedroom, 2-bath unit at a very reasonable price. This was a "girls' weekend away" and we didn't want to be crammed into a standard hotel room, so this was a great fit for us. It's not a fancy place, it's a bit outdated/older, but the unit was large, had a fully stocked kitchen, the beds were comfortable, it had a patio with a table and 4 chairs and a nice living room. We stayed in a Madeira Unit, upstairs, facing Camelback mountain. In the end, it was great to have the extra space and 2 bathrooms. We cooked breakfast in the room, and ate out for other meals. I would stay here again.
This is an older place, so do not expect to come and find a resort-like property. The pool area wasn't very nice, but it wasn't a deal-breaker either, as we were not there to hang out in the sun. However, if you are staying here to mostly relax by the pool, you might be disappointed. Also, the Seville Unit had a walled-in patio so you had no view (and no breeze). We asked for an upstairs Madeira Unit, which has an open patio.
The massages that my sister and I had at the spa were excellent. The large bathroom in our two bedroom villa was very nice.
I wasn't expecting it to be so dated. It seemed like it would have been on the higher end of resorts maybe in the 1980's. The hot tub at the pool must have been out of order and they had rubber cones and yellow and black construction tape wrapped around it. Definitely a minus to the ambiance.
Very spacious and pleasant accommodation for the price. Excellent facities.
Enough space for family.
They did not clean the dishes that we used.
The rooms were very nice and clean.
A bigger sofa or love seats and another bathroom in the 2 room suites.
Spacious accomodation. Very efficient front desk & concierge service. Good value for money restaurant service.
Inconsistent housekeeping service.
I thought I was booking the marriott camelback inn...so it was a disappointment...otherwise it was a fine selection...but not worth the money!
If you play tennis, there are 3 sunken and lit well maintained courts, the pool though dated is nice with a poolside grill, the grounds have walking trails, sand volleyball, putt putt course and putting green, close to shopping and hiking and many restaurants, located in a beautiful area of phoenix, quiet and the villas are large, private, and well maintained and upgraded nicely
Pool, grill, location and great room
Surprisinly once for the price,
Coffee not supplied in rooms, towels not replaced- had to go to desk, carpet on deck terrible shape
Nice layout of rooms and Location
There was a large half dead cockroach on the kitchen floor and he air conditioner condenser didn't work. We brought the insect to the front desk and informed them about the air conditioner..end result, they told us that they sprayed for bugs. I just wanted to move to another villa and also the air conditioner still didn't function properly.
Convenience of location; ability to cook own food...great after a number of times in restaurants.
One bedroom had twin beds. Would prefer queen beds. We were there with two couples and had to toss a coin which couple would get the room with the king bed. It wasn't really an issue but a preference for sure.
